How much does IKEA furniture assembly cost?
Flat-rate per item, not hourly. Small pieces (chairs, side tables, KALLAX 2×4 shelves) run $45–$85. Medium (nightstands, small dressers like MALM 3-drawer) run $85–$145. Large dressers, wardrobes, and desks (PAX, HEMNES) run $145–$275. XL builds like media walls and Murphy beds run $275–$525. $150 minimum service call applies.
Do you bring your own tools?
Yes. Cordless drill and impact driver, full bit and hex set, level, stud finder, rubber mallet, soft mat to protect floors and finishes. The Allen key from the box stays in the box.
Do you handle the box and packaging disposal?
Yes. Boxes are broken down and stacked at your curb or recycling bin, packing foam and plastic bagged. If you want full haul-away, we can quote that as a separate junk run.
Can you wall-mount tall furniture so it can't tip?
Yes. Tall dressers, bookcases, and wardrobes are lag-bolted into wall studs (not just drywall) and anti-tip kits are installed as standard on any piece sold with one. This is non-negotiable in homes with kids — IKEA includes the hardware for a reason.
Do you assemble outdoor furniture?
Yes. Polywood, teak, aluminum, and resin-wicker sets, including Polywood Adirondack chairs, dining sets, and pergolas. We also assemble grills (gas and pellet) and large playsets — grills run $125–$225, playsets $450–$950 depending on size.
Can you assemble at my apartment, new build, or short-term rental?
Yes. Apartments, new builds, model homes, and Airbnb / short-term rental turnovers are common. We coordinate with the front desk or property manager, work clean, and can stage the room before guests arrive. Greenwood, Carmel, Fishers, and downtown Indianapolis are routine stops.
Will you take the old furniture away?
No. Furniture removal and donation pickup is out of scope — we recommend Habitat ReStore, Goodwill, or a local junk-haul company. We can move the old piece to your garage or curb, but disposal is on you.
How long does IKEA furniture take?
Depends on the piece. A MALM dresser: 60–90 min. A PAX wardrobe: 3–5 hours. A KALLAX 2×4 shelf: 20 min. We price flat-rate so the clock isn't your problem.
Do you pick up furniture from the store?
For an extra delivery fee, yes — we'll pick up from IKEA Fishers, Crate & Barrel, or local showroom and deliver + assemble. Priced per job.
